The Department of Pediatric Dentistry

About Us

Pediatric Dentistry has developed from the oral treatment of children to a specialty with an emphasis on behavior management, systemic diseases and its correlation to dental and oral disease. Pediatric dentistry focuses on the delivery of preventive care, beginning from infancy and up to late adolescence (including the treatment of handicapped patients in need of specialized care).

The Department of Pediatric Dentistry at Hadassah includes one of the leading pediatric dentistry clinics in the country and specializes in administering care to infants and children who are suffering from developmental problems or are considered high-risk. The clinic offers both dental and preventative care and performs oral surgery (administering anesthesia or sedatives if necessary).

Modern concepts of pharmacology and patient monitoring are stressed as a mean of coping with behavioral problems.

Prof. Ram Diana DMD
