Hadassah Ein Kerem has opened "Directions," an information center that will care for the needs of patients and their families. The Center is located on the mezzanine level of the hospital.
This innovative center, first of its type in Israel, is the first to centralize under one roof all the information essential to patients and their families before, during and after hospitalization.
The center is managed by the Department of Social Work, and staffed by volunteers that are qualified in the field.
"Directions" was founded and is operated by the Hadassah Medical Organization together with the Mashov and Eshel organizations. The goal of the center is to provide information on patient rights and the assistance available to them in all areas relating to hospitalization, release, aftercare, and the continuation of treatment at home and in the community.
Patients receive a personal consultation with information adapted to their individual needs.
The staff can provide assistance to patients in a wide variety of subjects such as: social security benefits, services provided by the sick funds, rights and possible services provided by different government offices, services and facilities provided by the municipality, and information on other organizations that can provide help.
The center also provides information about companies that provide nursing service and home helpers, nursing homes and other facilities in the community.
Information is compiled in a database to enable detailed searches, and the center maintains a library of informational materials on private facilities, to make it a one-stop destination for all the information patients and their families need to make informed decisions about their care.
The center serves patients, family members, and personnel of the hospital.
Reception hours are Monday through Friday, 10:00 to 17:00.
Telephone 02-6777011 (inside the hospital 77011.) After hours it is possible to leave a message via the voice mail.
