The Unit for Social and Psychological support for the Patients and their Families offers unique mental treatment for families where there is a child suffering from a chronic problem or a child with a chronic disease. The unit belongs to The Center for Chronic Diseases and the Pediatric Neurology Unit in Mount Scopus campus. Our staff is specialized in providing mental and social care for the child's and the family's mental and emotional difficulties formed due to their coping with the chronic disease; coping with diabetes, CF, neurological diseases including ADHD, Familial Dysautonomia and feeding disorders. We treat children from infancy to 18 years of age.

The treatment is provided free of charge to the patients of the Center for Children with Chronic Diseases as well as children with chronic diseases that are treated in other settings and their families.
Location
The unit is in two centers:

In the center for children with chronic diseases, Mount Scopus Campus, new clinics' building, ground floor. The staff in this center is in charge of the care provided for the center's patients and their families.

In the pediatric neurology unit, Mount Scopus Campus, Riklis Building, 1st floor. The staff is in charge of the children that arrive in the unit for psychological, psycho-didactic or neurological diagnosis and their families.
