About the research and development division
Hadassah is the leading center for medical research in Israel. Hadassah's two hospitals have about 300 scientists (doctors and researchers) and about 200 graduate and postgraduate students engaged in all levels of medical research - basic, translational and clinical.
Special emphasis is placed on Hadassah for translation studies, which mediate between laboratory research and patient care.
The research laboratories at Hadassah are an integral part of the medical departments and in addition there are a number of interdepartmental research centers including: the Institute of Genetic Therapy, the Center for Embryonic Stem Cell Research, the Experimental Surgery Unit, the Cyclotron Unit for New Imaging Materials and more.
