The research areas at the institution encompass all areas of medicine, including: personal focused medicine, genetic therapy, cell therapy, stem cell therapies, immunological therapies, medical device development and many more.
Hadassah's hospitals have modern infrastructure and laboratories equipped in accordance with the highest level of research. The researchers have access to some of the most advanced equipment infrastructure in the world, including: a state-of-the-art animal imaging facility (Wohl Center for translational research), clean work rooms (GMP), a tissue bank, large and small animal operating rooms, Phase 1 clinical trials and more.
A considerable amount of research at Hadassah is conducted in collaboration with scientists from the Hebrew University School of Medicine and with researchers from many other leading institutions in Israel and abroad.
The high quality of research is reflected in the large number of national and international grants received by Hadassah scientists from the most competitive funding bodies, such as the American National Institutes of Health (NIH), the European Union (EC), the National Science Foundation (ISF), the Binational Foundation with Germany (GIF) and North America (BSF) and many more.

The large number of articles (about 600) published in the scientific press each year by Hadassah researchers also indicates the scope and quality of the research that takes place in our institution.
In addition, for laboratory research, hundreds of clinical trials are conducted at Hadassah each year both at the initiative of researchers and at the initiative of pharmaceutical and medical equipment companies. The purpose of these studies is to link the scientific discoveries made in the laboratory to the well-being of the patient in order to fulfill Hadassah's vision to expand the boundaries of medical discoveries, advance medical education and make medical care better.
