Background
As a result of sports activities or strenuous daily activities, joint injuries in general and knee joint injuries in specific, are quite common. Some of these injuries cause pain and limitations for only a short period of time but some cause pain and limitation for extended periods of time with ramifications for joint functioning in the future.
Medical Problems Treated by the Clinic
The majority of patients who come to the Unit for treatment suffer from acute injuries or trauma caused by overuse of the knee as well as injuries to other joints including the ankle, shoulder, and elbow. Patients are often treated in cooperation with other units in the Department.
