Synopsis
Prof. Naomi Weintraub is the head of the `Neuro-Developmental Disabilities and Writing Research Laboratory`. The Lab studies neuro-developmental disabilities, and specifically Learning Disabilities (mostly Dysgraphia) and co-occurring disabilities such as Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder and Developmental Coordination Disorder. We study both the underlying behavioral processes of these disorders and the impact of these disorders on the individual`s daily living and quality of life. Much of the Lab`s work focuses on studying the writing process (both handwriting and keyboarding - using keylogging software) both in Hebrew and in the Arabic languages. Emphasis is placed on the neuro-developmental aspects of these activities, including linguistic, cognitive and sensory motor processes.

In addition, the lab focuses on school-based early identification and intervention for children who are at risk for developmental delays, due to environmental deprivation or neurodevelopmental disorders. It also focuses on long-term effects of childhood cancer in terms of their participation in daily-living activities and quality of life.
