Dr Berger is a specialist in pediatrics, and in pediatric neurology and development.
He is the Head of the Pediatric Neurology Unit and The Neuro-Cognitive Center at Hadassah-Hebrew University Medical Center. A senior Lecturer in the Hebrew University Medical School.
His primary interests involve early brain development, the factors affecting it (both genetic and environmental) and the impact on long-term neuro-developmental outcome with special focus on cognitive (higher) functions.
His diverse research interests include early indicators of in-utero inflammation and it`s long-term neuro-developmental implications, as well as studying the unique cognitive performance (mainly attention) in special populations (autistic children and their siblings, pre-schoolers, as well as SUD).
In addition, Dr. Berger is in charge on the Neonatal Neurology Clinic of the same center.
