The Inpatient Unit has about 900 admissions each year. The unit has 17 beds and the average hospital stay is 8.1 days, totaling 6000 hospital days a year.
Currently, The Inpatient Unit is undergoing renovation, and is located on the "Bet" floor of the Sharett Institute. At present, there are 5 isolation rooms, while the other rooms accommodate 2 or 3 patients each. All rooms are equipped with HEPA filters (High Efficiency Particulate Air filters) which filter the air and reduce the incidence of infections.
Most rooms have a scenic view of the Judean mountains. For the patients' convenience, there is a lounge area with couches, tables, and a television where visitors can sit with patients when they are not in isolation. There is also a kitchen with a refrigerator to store food the patients or their families bring, and a microwave for the use of the patients and their families.
