Ten Commandments of Nutrition

These are the Ten Commandments of Nutrition:

  1.  This is the last summer you 'diet'. Lifestyle changes are for the rest of your life!
  2. Do not be tempted by 'quick' or easy diets. They do not work.
  3. Lifestyle changes are not diets.
  4. Small dietary changes and consistant exercises will bring change
  5. Read food labels carefully. Choose fats that are low in saturated fats, sugar, and sodium.
  6. Your diet should consist mainly of whole grains, fruits and vegetables, low-fat dairy products and poultry.
  7. Make sure your meals are well-balanced and not based on junk food.
  8. Exercise regularly. You will be surprised at how great you feel!
  9. Bring back family dinners!
  10. Consult a dietician to help build healthy meal plans.
