The Psycho-Oncology Unit is part of the Sharett Institute of Oncology. It provides counseling services, treatment, and support for patients and their families. The Psycho-Oncology Unit is comprised of psychologists who specialize in treating cancer patients and their families. The psycho-oncology treatment is an integral part of the broader treatment provided by the Sharett Institute.
Our team treats patients from all the different units in the department.
Our team believes that the emotional and psychological component is an integral part of a patient's recovery and quality of life while living with cancer. The psychological treatment provides our patients (and their families) with tools to help them deal with the effects of their disease.
In addition to the services we provide our patients, our unit provides training to students.
