Support Before, During, and After Bone Marrow Transplants
Psychosocial support and services are provided to all bone marrow transplant patients, families, and care-partners facing the impact of their cancer diagnosis and bone marrow transplants. Psychosocial support is provided by a licensed clinical social worker that will be with you and your support system throughout the bone marrow transplant process. Bone marrow transplant (BMT) social workers are an integral part of your health care team and they work with other Hadassah University Medical Center specialists to contribute to your overall bone marrow cancer treatment plan. Counseling to help with coping and adjusting to lifestyle changes after a bone marrow transplant as needed for additional support and information in regards to bone marrow transplant can also be provided or referred to outside care.
