Graduate Students

Most of the senior physicians have graduate students working in their laboratories towards the fulfillment of their advanced degrees in genetics, microbiology, biotechnology, or other basic sciences.

The degree may be at the Masters' level or at the Doctoral level. The spectrum of research projects is extremely broad, ranging from genetic hematology (molecular genetics as a diagnostic tool for hereditary or malignant blood diseases) to population genetics, from ancient DNA research, to the most cutting edge studies of stem cell growth.

These graduate students may be supervised by either senior physicians, senior researchers, or both.
