The Glaucoma Service at Hadassah Hospital treats patients with cases of glaucoma, specializing in difficult and complex cases. Most of our patients are from the Jerusalem area, although patients from other regions of the country and abroad are referred to our clinic.
Glaucoma patients can be divided into two main groups - patients with relatively stable glaucoma, cared for for by local ophthalmologists; and difficult cases, including patients with uncontrolled intraocular pressure. The second group of patients are referred to our tertiary center, where we have the ability, expertise, and equipment to provide the best possible care for their conditions.
The Hadassah Glaucoma Service helps patients suffering from uncontrolled pressure, and other difficult cases of glaucoma. The service provides the best available treatment. Our staff keeps up-to-date with developments in the field, technology, and new surgical techniques. Our surgeons work hard to preserve your vision and ensure that you can live as comfortably as possible. At Hadassah, we believe that excellence and dedicated care are important aspects of successful surgery. We firmly believe that every patient, regardless of gender, age, education, religion or language, is entitled to the best possible medical and surgical care.
While the majority of patients under our care are referred to us by their ophthalmologist, you may call the appointment center if you wish to schedule an appointment at our Glaucoma Clinic. Furthermore, if you need a laser treatment or a surgical procedure, you can schedule this procedure at the Glaucoma Service.
