Neuroendocrine Tumor Unit (NET)

Neuroendocrine Tumor Unit: A Center of Excellence for treating patients with neuroendocrine tumors recognized by the European Neuroendocrine Tumor Society (ENETS)

The Neuroendocrine Tumor Unit is part of a multi-disciplinary network for treating patients with these types of tumors. Due to their combined endocrine and oncological character, treatment requires a multi-system approach combining the knowledge and medical expertise of specialists in the fields of endocrinology, oncology, gastroenterology, genetics, surgery, pathology, radiology and nuclear medicine.

In conjunction with treating NET patients, who are referred to our unit from all over the country and abroad, we are engaged in clinical and basic research to help understand the processes responsible for the development of these tumors, and ultimately, to develop new tools for diagnosis, follow-up and innovative treatment.

In 2018, the NET unit was recognized as a Center of Excellence by the European Neuroendocrine Tumor Society.

We diagnose and treat patients with the following medical conditions:

  • Dr. Simona Glasberg
