Most doctors are in the hospital during the day. However, even at night there is always a doctor on call in case he's needed.

Release from hospitalization hours
Mostly, the release will take place between 16:00-17:00. The release might be early or late.
You are asked to vacate your rooms right away after getting your release letters.

At night - Sleeping
Children are never alone at the hospital. Even at night, there is a recliner next to the child so one of the parents or family members could sleep there with you. Each child has to be accompanied by an adult.

Nurses' shift change
The nurses are in the departments all the time, even during the night. We don't want them to be very tired, so they work shifts and trade places three times a day.
The nurses' shift changes happen at 07:00AM, 15:00, 23:00.

More information about the doctors and nurses you can read in the hospital departments section

Your mom and dad can stay with you the whole time, with no time limit. Other guests can visit you all day until 20:00.

When there are no speical guests and you are finished with all of your tests - We recommend visiting the Hadassah School in your department.

Opening times for the school in all of Hadassah departments
On Sundays-Thursdays, the school opens its doors for children starting 08:30AM. The teachers change between the departments, and the classes end between 13:00-16:00. When there are no teachers, Sherut Leumi girls and Pera"kh students operate the place until 18:00. On fridays, the school is operated by Pera"kh students and is open until 12:00.

School activities in all of the departments include studying, using computers, enrichment activities, arts and play. All children and parents are invited to participate.

When it is vacation time (in regular schools), the Hadassah school operates in a partial schedule (summer school). The school's programs don't operate during Succot, Passover, and on the last two weeks of August. In addition, there are several vacation days in other holidays such as Purim, Yom Haatzmaut and Shavuot.

More stuff you can do:
Ein kerem
In Ein kerem, there is a nice little mall with many stores and restaurants. If you feel well enough, you can go there with an adult. Besides, going up and down in the transparent elevators is always fun.

Mt. Scopus
At Mt. Scopus, there is a beautiful garden with a view reaching as far as the dead sea. Besides, in the ground floor there is a small cafeteria and next to it there is a gift shop.

When you don't feel well:
You can ask the school's staff for games you can play in bed. The school also has a library, workbooks, laptops and art equipment. The staff will be glad to visit you in your room, and even lend you games for the night if you ask for them.
