Asher

“Asher’s food will be rich; he will provide delicacies fit for a king”. – Genesis 49
“Most blessed of sons is Asher; Let him be favored by his brothers, and let him bathe his feet in oil.” –Deuteronomy 33

Jacob predicts that Asher will eat of the fat of the land. The candelabra is the seven-branched Menorah of the Ancient Temple in Jerusalem, which burned olive oil from the tribe of Asher. Today this menorah is one of the symbols of the State of Israel. Even though there were many olive trees in Jerusalem, the oil came from the land of Asher in the Galilee because its land never knew bloodshed. The dove with the olive branch is the universal symbol of peace and refers to the story of Noah and the end of the flood.
