Prof. Mia Levite is group leader at the Gene Therapy Institute. Prof. Levite have explored scientifically and clinically related research in Neuroimmunology. Neuroimmunology is the field of bi-directional communications between the nervous system and the immune system.
Her work focuses on, understanding Nerve-Driven Immunity, developing of Novel ‘Personalized Adoptive Neuro-Immunotherapies, studying the expression and function of dopamine receptors and glutamate receptors in human T cells, exploring the role of autoantibodies for Glutamate receptor in Autoimmune Epilepsy, and studying the role of Ion Channels receptor expression in T cells in Immunity. Dr. Levite is an author on 60 papers published in the most prestigious Journals in neuroimmunology.
