Metropolitan Center for the Early Detection of Colorectal-Cancer
Screening for colorectal cancer for the general population. A joint project between the Service of Gastroenterology at Hadassah and the Jerusalem Municipality. Aims: To provide comprehensive information to the general population. Screening tests, including fecal occult blood in stool and sigmoidoscopy in the average risk population. Development of a database, and promotion of clinical studies. Determination of a screening protocol for the detection of colorectal cancer. The Center will be established in the community, in the public health clinic of the municipality. The administrative staff and nurses will be employees of the municipality, and the physicians from our Gastroenterological Service.
