INTRODUCTION

The Department of Maxillofacial Prosthetics provides treatment for patients with head and neck tumors, trauma patients and patients with congenital defects in the head and neck regions.

Areas of investigation of the Department of Maxillofacial Prosthetics include the different applications of CO2, Er-YAG and diode lasers in the oral cavity and the effect of the laser beam on the hard and soft tissue. Another field of interest which is also investigated centers on the epidemiology of Head and Neck tumors..
