המרצה: ד"ר מיילס ייקר, מומחה בפריודונטיה ובשיקום הפה, אוניברסיטת ניו יורק.
יום העיון יוקדש לדרכים להשגת תוצאות טיפול אסתטיות ותפקודיות בשתלים דנטאליים. בין היתר, יוצגו טכניקות ניתוחיות שונות, תוכנות מחשב כעזר לתכנון נכון ושיתוף פעולה בין הרופא המנתח, הרופא המשקם והמעבדה, השתלה מיידית והעמסה מיידית, טכניקות שיקום חדשות ועוד.
יום העיון יתקיים בין השעות16:00 - 08:30 באולם "שאכט" בבית החולים האוניברסיטאי הדסה הר-הצופים בירושלים.

תקציר ההרצאה:
Integration of Prosthodontic and Surgical disciplines in Implant Dentistry will be discussed in both the diagnostic and treatment planning phases of treatment. Treatment Indexes designed to enhance communication between various aspects of treatment as well as the role of cutting edge cone beam computed tomography and interactive software will be examined. In addition, Implant placement and design technologies will be reviewed. Surgical procedures such as Soft Tissue Augmentation, Ridge Augmentation, Socket Preservation, Ridge Splitting, Sinus Augmentation and Root Submergence will be presented as well as applications in immediate placement and immediate load. State- of- the art technologies in cad-cam technology and the importance of a team approach with the Dental Laboratory Technician will be emphasized.
Course Objectives:
1) Employing state-of-the-art computer technologies in diagnosis and treatment planning.
2) Treatment planning versus treatment execution employing treatment indexes.
3) Applications of Piezosurgery.
4) Implant placement and design technologies.
5) The critical role that the prosthetic driven treatment plays in successful implant treatment.
6) Coordination and sequencing with the Dental Laboratory phases.
7) Immediate placement and Immediate load.
8) Critical steps in both surgical and prosthetic phases to help ensure quality treatment outcomes and patient satisfaction.
9) State of the art in cad-cam technologies.
על המרצה:
Miles J. Yacker, D.D.S. is a Clinical Associate Professor in the Ashman Department of Periodontics and Implant Dentistry at New York University College of Dentistry. Dr. Yacker is a Diplomat of the American Board of Periodontics and The American Board of Prosthodontics. He lectures both nationally and internationally, has published, and is co-inventor on applications of thermocouple technology to measure heat during osteotomy site preparation. Dr. Yacker maintains a private practice in Lawrence, New York.
