Born in Haifa – married to Miriam, father of  4 (Yehoshua, Shlomit, Nadav and Uri), grandfather of Yaara and Inbar.

 

Graduate (M.D.) of the Hadassah, Hebrew university medical center-1971.

 

Residency in Obstetrics & gynecology at the Rothschild (now: Bnei Zion) hospital and the Technion Faculty of Medicine in Haifa.

 

Diplome in Obstetrics & Gynecology of the postgraduate school of Medicine, Tel Aviv Medical school-1978.

 

Qualification as an Obstetrician & Gynecologist at the Hadassah hospital in Ein karem, Jerusalem-1979.

 

Fellowship in Feto-Maternal Medicine focusing on techniques of Prenatal Diagnosis in Harris Birthright research institute, the Kings College Hospital in London, 1992,1993.

 

Since 1984 – Operating an Ob/Gyn clinic in Jerusalem.

 

Main Academic & Clinical interests

 

Fetal & Maternal Medicine: Methods of Prenatal Diagnosis & Therapy, including invasive operations guided by real-time ultrasound ( Amniocentesis, CVS, etc.).

 

Screening for and Diagnosis of genetic aberrations in the fetus. Pre and intra partum evaluation of Fetal status.

 

Surveillance of High risk Pregnancies and Deliveries.

 

Physiology and pathophysiology of human pregnancy.

 

Psychological-Cognitive evaluation of the pregnant couple.

 

Medical ethics in the field of Feto-Maternal Medicine.

 

Teaching Medical students and residents, aiming at developing a rational attitude in dealing with clinical issues, based on a critical reference to results of controlled medical studies.

 

Medico-legal issues in Perinatal Medicine.
