Dr. C. Yahalom received her medical degree in Argentina in 1993. Afterwards she completed the Diploma course in Ophthalmology, followed by a residency in Ophthalmology, both at the Hadassah Medical Center (1995-2002). During the following years, Dr. Yahalom did a Fellowship in Pediatric Ophthalmology at Hadassah Medical Center (2003) and a 15 month Fellowship in Ocular Motility and Pediatric Ophthalmology at the Royal Victorian Eye and Ear Hospital in Melbourne, Australia (2004-5).
Since 2005 Dr Yahalom has been one of the senior doctors at the Pediatric Eye clinic, treating children with eye diseases such as congenital cataracts, strabismus, dacryostenosis, refractive errors, amblyopia and others.
Dr. Yahalom is part of the screening team for ROP at the Pediatric Intensive Care Unit in Hadassah Medical Center.
Since 2005 Dr Yahalom has been one of the senior ophthalmologists in charge of Low Vision in Children at the “Michaelson Institute for the Rehabilitation of Vision”, where recently a Nystagmus clinic was established, with modern diagnostic and treatment options for improvement of nystagmus.
