All aspects of obstetrics and gynecology, prenatal care, vaginal delivery, cesarean delivery, all phases of women’s health, fertility, menopause, screening tests for PAP, breast cancer.

 

All aspects of obstetric ultrasound, including: targeted organ scanning, fetal echocardiography, 3-D ultrasound, Doppler investigations, fetal anatomic and chromosomal anomalies, and nuchal translucency.

 

Ultrasound guided invasive procedures such as amniocentesis, cordocentesis, chorionic villus sampling, fetal blood transfusion, multifetal pregnancy reduction.

 

Gynecologic ultrasound, including 3-D and Doppler evaluation, hysterosalpingography, aspiration of cysts.

 

Female fertility, including follicle scanning and ovulation induction, timing of conception.

 

Research Areas

 

Basic Research: Molecular biology of the placenta; immunosurveillance at the maternal fetal interface; mechanisms of preeclampsia.

 

Clinical Research: 3-D fetal echocardiography; evaluation of ultrasound-diagnosed fetal tumors with MRI; evaluation of ultrasound-diagnosed fetal ventriculomegaly using MRI; the efficacy of cervical cerclage in preventing preterm birth.
