1. Frontal teaching for medical students: lectures on “introduction to plastic surgery”, Basic techniques”, Esthetic Surgery” and Breast Surgery” given annually to 6th years students.
2. Bed side teaching: Plastic Surgery in an elective 2 weeks rotation for 6th year medical students. In the past 5 years 7-18 groups of students stayed in the department. I was teaching them by the bed side, in our biweekly presurgical assessment team meetings, in the outpatient clinics and in the operating room.

Scientific Biography and Prog
1. Overview
My primary field of scientific and clinical interest – and contribution is the reconstructive plastic surgery. My main research activity is clinical evaluations various surgical modalities in plastic surgery. The main topics were:
a. Efficacy of gold lid load for correction of 7th nerve palsy. ( # 4 ) original article.
b. Clinical assessment of various modalities of correction of cleft palat and cleft lip (# 5,40, 42) original articles.
c. Clinical evaluation of complication in various methods of breast reconstruction (# 7, 42) original articles and #8 case report.
d. Epidemiological studies of burns (#9,17,18,22,34) original articles and (#6,9,10,11,12,14,15,18) case report, (#6) letter.
e. Clinical use of various flaps for reconstruction after tumors resection trauma and congenital deformities (# 10,35,38) original articles and (# 3,7,3,19) case reports.

The tools for assessment were statistical tools for evaluation of success rate and
complication rate, with comparison to the literature.
Ongoing Research Projects
1. Finding a preventing treatment for capsular construction of the breast. In this project of several pharmacological regimens are being evaluated for this clinical problem (Ad-El D and Neuman R.A.).
1. Treatment of peripheral blood vessels disease/critical limb ischemia using angiopumps – a multifactorial induction of angiogenesis.
Evaluation of the saety and feasibility of the use of angiopumps in patients with PVD suffering from critical limb ischemia. Evaluation of the ability to improve blood flow problems in patients with PVD via angiopumps.

Since the year 2003 when I put in charge of the department, all my residents have successfully passed the first and second stage of their specialization exams. There have been no failures. Furthermore, until the year 2003 around 10 students a year chose our department as an elective one. From the year 2004 we have different groups of at least 5 students changing every 2 weeks, choosing our deparment as their elective. The requests from students to choose our deparment as their elective has reached the highest peak in all the history of the plastic surgery deparment.
In the past 3-4 years at least 5 of my doctors were elected by the students as excellent teachers.
