Dr Carlos Hidalgo-Grass is the Molecular Diagnostics Coordinator in the Clinical Microbiology and Infectious Diseases Department. He directs the Microbial Molecular Diagnostics Laboratory, which provides specialized testing for the diagnosis and management of infectious disease as well as the introduction and development of new tests. The main goal of this laboratory is to ensure a fast turnaround employing cutting-edge molecular diagnostic tests for patient management focused on Bacterial, Protozoan and Fungal Infections.
