Awards and scholarships

 

1995 – 1996 - Excellence scholarship for M. Sc. Studies of Medical Sciences.

2000 - Resident of the Year Award, Department of Medicine, Hadassah Medical Center.

2001 - 1st place between teachers of Internal Medicine (4th year) – according to Student evaluations, at the Hebrew University.

2003 - Resident of the Year Award – The faculty of medicine, Hadassah-Hebrew University Medical Center.

2006 - Israeli Board of Pulmonary Medicine – with distinction (only in Israel).

2008 - American Association of Cancer Research (AACR) Awardee for best presentation, bi-annual Tumor Immunology Conference.

From 2009 - Recipient of the “Morasha” grant for Physicians-researchers, from The Israeli Academy of Sciences. 

 

Clinical Interests

 

Lung diseases in general, and specifically: COPD, smoking related diseases, evaluation of lung nodules, diagnostic & therapeutic Bronchoscopies, Pleural effusions, Sarcoidosis.

 

Research Interests

 

Immunology & Immunotherapy of lung cancer and mesothelioma, The role of neutrophils in cancer, The causes of Sarcoidosis.
