Activities at the Oncology Institute include medical follow-up for cancer patients, those who suspect they may have the disease or whose illness has spread; treatment of all types of malignant tumors (except leukemia), including treatment with medications (chemotherapy, immunological treatments, hormonal treatments), radiotherapy (external and internal-brachytherapy), and preventive treatment. Sometimes treatment may include innovative methods or medications. Psychological counseling is also available for oncology patients.
