Nutrition and Diet

All patients receive regular food, prepared, packed and served by the hospital kitchen. Patients who need special or dietetic meals should inform the doctor or department nurse as soon as they are admitted, and the appropriate food will be prepared for them.

Choice of menus for patients who are not on a restricted diet

In some hospital departments, the  Food Department offers patients each morning a choice of three menus for the next three meals – lunch, supper and breakfast for the following day.

This service will gradually be extended to all departments in the hospital.

In the maternity ward there is a dining room where a buffet breakfast and supper are served.
