Radiology Informatics Laboratory

 

 

The Radiology Department at Hadassah University Hospital was upgraded to provide digital imaging and to meet the growing demands of a modern digital radiology department.

 

The Radiology Informatics Laboratory have the mission to improve, evaluate and research in new and existing informatics tools for modern radiology.

 

Research subjects cover different standards such a DICOM, IHE, HL7 and HIPAA as well as software and new hardware integration.

 

In our Laboratory we provided personal guidance for planning and independent technical evaluation of Picture Archiving and Communication Systems (PACS) and the components of such systems.

 

Information provided by Radiology Informatics Laboratory is intended to assist purchasers of PACS with their purchasing decisions, implementation and efficient use of their PACS.

•          Workflow analysis

 

The Hospital uses Computed Radiography (CR and DR), recently adapted digital mammography acquisition. There are a variety of other scanning modalities including CT and PetCT and 16 multi-slice,  2 MRI, 2 angiography systems, ultrasound, etc.
