Center for the Treatment of
Traumatic Stress and Anxiety Disorders
The Center for the Treatment of Traumatic Stress and Anxiety Disorders at Hadassah University Hospital has been set up as a specialty treatment center for anxiety disorders. In particular, it offers treatment packages for Posttraumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD), Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder (OCD) and Panic Disorder.
The Center offers cognitive behavior therapy (CBT) – a well established psychological therapy around the world, but one that is relatively new to Israel. The Center's faculty trained in CBT in the U.K. and the U.S.A., and have trained the other clinicians working at the Center. In addition to providing state-of-the-art psychological treatment, we offer available pharmacological options as well .
The center is a training site for therapists (psychologists, psychiatrists, social workers) interested in becoming experts in the theory and practice of CBT.
An International Board of Experts, including Prof. Edna Foa, is advising on different aspects of the Center’s work.
The Center for the Treatment of Traumatic Stress and Anxiety Disorders is a division of the Department of Psychiatry headed by Professor Arieh Shalev at Hadassah University Hospital in Ein Kerem Jerusalem.
We welcome referrals from professionals and inquiries directly from patients.
