Dr Taher-Barghouti studied medicine at the University of Jordan in Amman. Upon graduating she joined the pediatric residency program at El-Makassed Hospital in East Jerusalem.
She started a fellowship program in pediatric critical care in February 2008 with the support of the Peres Center for Peace.
