The department teaches elective courses in pediatric surgery to 6th year medical students. 

This clinical course is fully computerized and the staff adds patient problem management problems and extensive bedside teaching. 

It also provides trauma courses and other courses for nursing students, the School of Pharmacy, general and pediatric surgical residents, and residents of other surgical specialties.
