The Child Protection Service investigates cases of suspected physical, sexual, and emotional abuse as well as child neglect. A team approach is employed, with input from members of the pediatric, social work, child psychiatry, and nursing departments. The Service works closely with community social service and law enforcement agencies to provide comprehensive evaluation and treatment for children and their families.
