Tumors of Hand and Wrist
The majority of tumors appear as localized masses, usually are not painful, but many times cause some degree of dysfunction. Some are simple cysts and almost all are benign. Malignant tumors or metastases are rare.
If the diagnosis of the tumor is not clear, there is a pathologic fracture (a fracture through the tumor) or there is some dysfunction, surgical excision of the tumor is considered.
