Dr. Shlomo DOTAN, in-charge of the Neuro-Ophthalmology Service
Born in 1950, and graduated from the Hebrew University-Hadassah Medical School in Jerusalem. Having completed a full residency in Ophthalmologyin Israel, has also done a clinical fellowship at the Kellogg Eye Center in Ann Arbor, Michigan, USA.
Since 1991 is in charge of the Neuro-Ophthalmology service at the Hadassah Medical Center, working in collaboration with the physicians of the departments of Ophthalmology, Neurology, Neurosurgery, Oncology, Endocrinology, Hematology and Rheumatology.
He is the author of numerous scientific publications that appeared in prestigious medical journals, and was and is involved in medical research in collaboration with several other medical centers. He is on the editorial board of the two important Neuro-Ophthalmology journals and serves on various committees of the European and the American Ophthalmology and Neuro-Ophthalmology Societies.
In August 1999 he organized the first international Neuro-Ophthalmology meeting in Jerusalem.
