The Glaucoma Service at the Hadassah Hospital cares for difficult and complex glaucoma patients, coming from Jerusalem, as well as from other parts of Israel and the world.

Glaucoma patients, in general, can be divided into two groups: the first are patients with relatively stable glaucoma, who are cared for by community ophthalmologists. The second consists of more difficult cases, including complex glaucoma and patients with uncontrolled intraocular pressure. These more complex patients are referred to our tertiary center, where we have the knowledge, expertise and equipment to provide the best possible care.

The Hadassah Glaucoma Service, headed by Dr. Eytan Blumenthal, provides patients with uncontrolled pressure and other difficult glaucoma cases the best available solutions for their medical condition. Our staff has the up-to-date knowledge, the latest technology, the finest surgical skills and vast experience to provide you with the best prospects of keeping your vision and living as comfortably as possible. While the majority of patients under our care are referred to us by their ophthalmologist, if you would also like to be treated by us you are welcome to schedule an appointment at our glaucoma clinic. Furthermore, if you need a laser treatment or a surgical procedure, you can choose to have it done here, at the Glaucoma Service of Hadassah Hospital.
