Who performs stoma care?
Hadassah Stoma Care nurses are the optimal providers to mark stoma sites. A Stoma nurse is also responsible for adjusting the equipment, and providing nutritional guidance and help with adjusting to life with a stoma.
The final incision site is selected and done by the Hadassah Medical Center surgeon once the abdominal cavity is entered and the condition of the bowel is determined.
