Main Research Subjects

 

1. Migratory and cell binding mechanisms of fibrinogen derivatives

- Development and research of fibrin microbeads (FMB) for cell-culture, isolation of stem cells and tissue engineering.

-Development of fibrin related Haptotactic peptides (Haptides) and analogous sequences for enhancement of cellularization of different matrices, transduction of molecules and liposomes into cells and drug delivery

 

2. Research related to Radiobiology

- Effect of radiation on normal tissues and on wound healing

- Effect of the combination of radiation with drugs on normal and transformed cells

 

3. Devices technologies for research and clinical application (Projects for commercialization)

- VESA - Viscoelastic Skin Analyzer. Building and testing a device for the measurement of the physical properties of skin and other soft tissues.

- DXS - Diagnostic X-ray Spectrometry: In-vivo non-invasive measurement and research on trace elements in external tissues.
