Most of the Senior Physicians have graduate students working in their laboratories toward the fulfillment of their advanced degrees in Genetics, Microbiology, Biotechnology, or other Basic Sciences.
The degree may be at the Masters’ level or at the Doctoral level. The spectrum of the types of research project is extremely broad, ranging from genetic hematology (molecular genetics as a diagnostic tool for hereditary or malignant blood diseases) to population genetics, from ancient DNA research, to the most cutting edge studies of stem cell growth.
