Introduction
The Endocrinology and Metabolism Service is an integral part of the Department of Medicine, providing inpatient and outpatient consultation, clinical laboratory services, graduate and post-graduate teaching as well as maintaining an active research laboratory.
The service’s staff includes five endocrinologists, three trainees (M.D.), 3 full-time, tenured PhDs, over twenty laboratory technicians, post-doctoral trainees and graduate students.
The offices and laboratories of the Endocrinology and Metabolism Service occupy about 600 sq. m. housing the service laboratories, staff offices and daycare service.
In addition to clinical teaching in the Hadassah Hospitals, the E&M service forms the backbone of the Hebrew University, Faculty of Medicine Endocrinology Teaching Program which provides graduate training at both the MSc and the Ph.D level.
