Research forms an integral aspect of NMRU’s activities, with rigorous scientific studies performed at the clinical and laboratory level to determine basic questions of safety,  efficacy and biological mechanism.
NMRU’s research has focused particularly on Traditional Tibetan, Chinese and Middle-Eastern Therapies, complex systems highly developed in Asia and of growing popularity in the West.

Traditional medicine with thier extensive knowledge of plants and other natural substances, have become a subject of worldwide interest. Used to treat a range of illnesses, including many chronic  disorders, the role of these therapies needs to be carefully evaluated.

An imortant focus of our work has also been the study of the local Middle-Eastern traditions of Medicine common to both Jewish and Arab populations. In these innovitive programs NMRC has combined research into important medicinal plants with a plan to conserve many endangered species and to preserve an ancient knowledge that extends back to pre -Biblical times.

Mind-Body techniques also currently widely used in the West, are now being investigated by NMRU for their effect on stress levels and well being.
