Research Opportunities

NMRU’s projects have proved to be very popular, with medical and science students at the School of Medicine who use our research programs to complete their final MD or BSc thesis.

Currently 6 medical students at HHUMS have collaborated with NMRU on research projects for their final MD thesis, including;

• Padmalax for Irritable Bowel Syndrome
• Padma 28 in IVF
• Stress Reduction Techniques for Nurses
• Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) for the Menopause

• A PHD candidate from the Dept. of Ecology at HHUMS is currently using the Traditional Chinese Medicine project on menopause as a proposed thesis for her Doctorate in conjunction with Ben-Gurion University.

• A BSc student recentlycompleted in 2003 his final thesis on the anti-bacterial activity of Middle-Eastern Plants.
