Director: Dr. Hadas Robovitch
The town of Modi’in and the surrounding settlements have, for the past three years, been involved in an innovative experiment in the organization of health services, in the framework of which Hadassah Hospital and Clalit Heath Services are collaborating in a joint medical center offering a range of health services to Clalit members.
The aim of the project is to combine the relative advantages of the two parent organizations: Clalit Health Services in the field of community health services, and Hadassah in the field of specialist medicine and hospitalization, to create a continuum of treatment from the community to the hospital, that will ensure the flow of information and a high standard of treatment.
There are currently five clinics working in the project, with 16,000 health fund members.
The clinics are managed autonomously in terms of budget, subject organizationally to an administrative body on behalf of Hadassah.
In the combined medical center, Clalit members enjoy a variety of exclusive services and benefits:
- Specialized doctors from Hadassah hospitals treat project members in a variety of medical fields, such as: orthopedics, gynecology, otolaryngology, oncology, dermatology, ophthalmology, neurology, endocrinology, gastroenterology, allergies, pulmonology, etc.
- Among these doctors are heads of departments, who provide consultation services in the clinics to patients who need this service.
- At Re’ut there is a child development center and a physiotherapy institute for project members, serving the entire area.
The project offers its members a variety of activities in the field of preventive medicine and childbirth preparation courses, given by qualified professionals at a nominal charge.
A complementary medicine clinic in a variety of fields is operated by Hadassah doctors for project members in Modi’in.
The clinic office in the community also serves as a branch of the hospital admissions office, for making appointments and obtaining payment vouchers, by means of the Hadassah computerized system installed in the clinics, saving members unnecessary waiting time at the hospital.
The community clinics have Hadassah Hospital terminals for obtaining the results of tests carried out at the hospital.
A special communications system makes it possible to quickly contact doctors in the hospitals and vice versa. Using the communications system, members can make their own appointments by dialing direct to the Hadassah Appointments Center.
A free transport service is available to take members from Modi’in to Hadassah Mt. Scopus, operating throughout the day.
