Patients and Bezalel's Students' Exhibition

will begin on June 9, 2010

in Hadassah Mt. Scopus Hospital

23/05/2010

On Wednesday, June 9, 2010, an exhibition opening will be held in Hadassah Mt. Scopus. The exhibition will include patients' and Bezalel's students' artworks, which express the meaning of the process they had with the patients. The opening event will include the variety "Haverut" projects in the hospital and a musical performance by Shlomho Bar and "Ha'Brera Ha'Tiv'it". The exhibition is free of charge.

In the past four years, "Haverut", Hadassah Mt. Scopus University Hospital and Bezalel Academy of Art and Design have worked in collaboration, and held a unique project, in which students meet with patients on a regular basis for meaningful gathering and joint creation. During the project, the participants in the healing process cope with the complex reality by finding the creative and spiritual power that lies in each of them.

"Haverut" is a non-profit organization established in memory of Ruth Ettun z"l who passed away at the age of eleven and a half from Cystic Fibrosis (CF). The organization was established in 2007, a decade after Ruth's death, by her mother Rachel Ettun. Following the deep process she's been through with her daughter, Rachel has established an integrative treatment concept that empowers the world of medicine – the staff, the patient and the surrounding – by strengthening the true and vivid bond between mind, creation and the community.
