The annual Israel Conference for Medicine will be held on August 3rd., in Jerusalem. Initiated four years ago by Hadassah Medical Center and "Ha'ir" newspaper, it will discuss issues between medicine and society with a collaboration of of Bnei-Zion Medical Center and Maccabi Health Services.
This year the committee will focus on "epidemics of the 21st century", such as obesity, attention-deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD), car accidents, as well as the role of Israeli medicine as an international good-will ambassador. a special international panel will discuss issues of regional collaboration through medicine. Panel members will be the ambassadors to Israel of Egypt, Jordan, Cyprus, France, and Italy.
