Rakefet Arieli, Head nutritionist at Hadassah Optimal Sports Center, received the International Olympic Committee's Diploma in Sports Nutrition at Lausanne, Switzerland. Arieli received the diploma after completing a prestigious two years program, and successfully fulfilling all IOC strict examinations and requirements. She is the first Israeli recipient of this prestigious diploma.

Arieli has a Masters Degree in nutrition science from the Hebrew University of Jerusalem.

A professional basketball player, Arieli has been working in recent years with two of Israel's leading soccer teams, HaPoel Tel-Aviv and M.S. Ashdod, the Israel Olympic team in synchronized swimming, many other sports teams and thousands of athletes, dancers, and people who were interested in changing their lifestyle with healthy nutrition and physical exercise.
