The Director General of the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA), Mr. Yukiya Amano, visited Hadassah yesterday while staying in Israel for a work visit. He was hosted by Prof. Shlomo Mor-Yosef, HMO Dir. Gen. and Prof. Tamar Peretz, Director of Sharett Institute of Oncology at Hadassah. Mr. Amano was introduced to the activities of scientists and physicians in the field of cancer treatment, including nuclear medicine. Later, when he met with President Shimon Peres, Mr. Amano said that he was "impressed by Hadassah's abilities, which were a good example of the employment of nuclear technology for peaceful goals".
