A new club for women who gave birth and pregnant women was opened recently in the two Hadassah hospitals. The club offers a supportive environment and a close follow up during pregnancy, free of charge birthing course, reduced price tests, reduced prices on equipment for the mother and the baby, and benefits at the Hadassah Ein-Kerem Baby Hotel.
"Giving birth should be a positive and empowering experience for the mother and her family and we are doing our best to achieve this" says Nava Braverman, head midwife in Ein-Kerem. "The new club is an embracing and supportive setup for them".
"We are situated at a very significant crossroad for the woman and her family" says Sima Chaimson, head midwife in Mt. Scopus. "There is an inflation in information about giving birth which may confuse. We opened a hot telephone line for our club members and invited them to call us anytime with any question they have".
