Hadassah Ein Kerem

This 700-bed tertiary care hospital deals with virtually every conceivable aspect of modern medicine and serves as a national referral center for the most complex and challenging medical cases. With more than 130 departments and clinics, Hadassah Ein Kerem provides the most advanced diagnostic and therapeutic services as well as attending to the daily needs of the local population.

Opened in 1961, today the Hadassah University Medical Center at Ein Kerem extensive campus contains over 22 buildings, including outstanding research facilities and the schools of medicine, nursing, dentistry and public health.

Overlooking the historic village of Ein Kerem, birthplace of John the Baptist, Hadassah Ein Kerem is 30 minutes from the airport and 15 minutes from the center of Jerusalem.

Hadassah Mount Scopus

This 300-bed community hospital serves the heavily populated Jewish and Arab neighborhoods of northern and eastern Jerusalem, with over 30 departments and clinics. It also houses the Guggenheim Rehabilitation Center, the neonatal intensive care unit, and the Ina and Jack Kay Hospice that provides supportive care and outreach homecare for the terminally ill.

Opened in 1939 as the first modern medical facility in the region, it was cut off from Jerusalem during the 1948 War of Independence. In 1975, Hadassah Mt. Scopus was rededicated as the women of Hadassah devoted themselves to renovate and expand their original hospital that had been ravaged by war and neglect. In 1978, Hadassah returned to Mt. Scopus, once again opening its doors to all.

Originally designed by award-winning architect Eric Mendelsohn, the hospital has been restored to its former beauty. Situated on an historic hill, Hadassah Mt. Scopus has a commanding view of Jerusalem to the west and the Dead Sea to the east.
